11th International Youth Day

The 11th International Youth day was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, Philippines wherein delegates were billeted in Bayview Park Hotel last August 10-12, 2010. In consonance with the celebration of the International Year of the Youth, Youth Run for Peace was aslo held. The closing ceremony of the 11th IYD was held in the Philippine Senate.

12th International Youth Day

The 12th International Youth Day Celebration and Conference will be held in Iloilo and Guimaras, Philippines on August 03-07, 2011. This will be the first IYD outside Metro Manila. The conference will be held at Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center. IYD Delegates will spend the forth day of the event in community work and island hopping at Guimaras Island. Iloilo city tour will then be followed the next day.

(for photos above) The first four pictures will be the areas to visit in Island hopping in Guimaras. The next set includes the Miag-ao Church, a UNESCO world Heritage Site (the bottom left). All these Churches are located in Iloilo.

Above are the pictures of one of the Immerssion Activity. The SEAFDEC Aquatic Research Center. They have created floating pathways and cages which protect the fishes. It has an enormous number of marine species as well as coral reserves.
